Accessibility Statement

Eastcore Media is committed to making SwiftScore accessible and to continually improving the experience for all users. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the internationally recognised standard for accessible websites, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time checkbox.

The entire site is designed to be operable with a keyboard alone — no mouse required. You can:

• Move between links, buttons, tabs and controls with Tab and Shift + Tab;
• Activate the focused control with Enter or Space;
• Jump straight past the header to the main content using the "Skip to main content" link that appears when you press Tab;
• See a clear, visible focus outline on whatever element currently has keyboard focus.

SwiftScore is built with semantic HTML and ARIA where appropriate so it works with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS, and other assistive technology. In particular:

• Page structure uses proper landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and a logical heading order so you can navigate by region and heading;
• Icon-only buttons and links have accessible names, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology;
• Team logos and images carry descriptive text alternatives;
• Live-updating scores are announced politely so you don't have to keep checking the screen for changes.

We design for readability. Text and essential interface elements are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and UI components), and we don't rely on colour alone to convey meaning — for example, live matches are indicated with a label and icon, not just a red dot. Both a dark and a light theme are available; you can switch themes from the settings menu in the header.

If you have enabled "reduce motion" in your operating system, we respect that preference and minimise non-essential animation such as pulsing indicators and loading shimmers.

The site is responsive and supports browser zoom and larger text sizes so you can scale content up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

Some content — such as sports data, logos and imagery — is supplied by third-party providers, and we don't always control its accessibility. Where we find gaps, we work to address them. If you hit a barrier anywhere on the site, please tell us (see below) and we'll prioritise a fix.
